Worst Date Stories
If you’re looking for something funny to read this afternoon, check out this campaign I led a few weeks ago for Penguin’s release of The Greatest Love Story of all Time.
Basically, the idea was that people would send in their worst date stories, and we’d select a few to win an advance copy of the book. Some of the funniest #WorstDateStories included:
“My date spent our Valentines meal fascinated with the “identical twins” behind me. Turned out to be a couple sitting by a mirror. #worstdate”
“Sitting opposite date, reading the menu, a little bit of dribble slid out of my mouth and dropped on to the menu. #worstdate”
“Never got to the date; I gave him my number, he stuck it on his fridge, his girlfriend found it, phoned me to warn me off! #WorstDate”
